Testimonials

  • We had a wonderful experience! We closed on a contract for our listing price and Helen Butler was exceptional in guiding us through the process. We have bought and sold many properties over the years and Helen was, by far, the most capable and effective agent we have worked with. While performing her responsibilities so well, she did so with an engaging personality and grace. We have encouraged our former neighbors at The Bristol to call Helen when they need real estate services.

  • My wife and I recently purchased a house in Charleston and had the pleasure of working with Helen Butler. Helen is by far the best Realtor we've ever worked with. I was a Broker in Maryland for 30 years and I have never worked with an agent as hardworking and thorough as Helen is. She has all the skills every Buyer or Seller should have in a real estate transaction. She's a good negotiator, knowledgeable, experienced, diligent and fastidious. Whenever we asked Helen about a property or to run listings for us she was always very responsive. She is also a very pleasant and enjoyable agent to work with. We consider Helen to be one of our good friends now and look forward to working with her again.

  • Helen Butler made our house hunting a stress-free adventure. When my husband and I moved back to Charleston, we weren’t exactly sure of what type of house we wanted. She was patient with us and showed us a variety of neighborhoods throughout the area, ranging from condos to large homes. As we sorted through what was on the market, Helen listened and became very familiar with what was important to us. She was on top of current listings, knew their value and found just the right opportunity for us - pictures had not been taken yet for a new listing, so she took them herself to share with us. Thanks to her vision, a renovation has transformed into our new home. She was truly a delight to work with, and most professional throughout the negotiations and closing. Helen followed through on every last detail and made it look easy.

  • I would highly recommend Helen Butler as a professional, top-notch real estate agent. Helen helped us sell our Country Club II home in 2018 during a very trying time. She placed our home on the market in December, a few days before Christmas, and then a snowstorm came, which does not create an ideal selling market! Nevertheless, within a short period of time, Helen found buyers for our home, and we closed within 2 months. Helen was very patient with our situation and met our every need in regard to helping us find the right people for repairs, inspections, and closing. Since that time, Helen has stayed in contact with me to assist me with my future needs. Helen is always eager to help, understands a person’s individual circumstances/needs, and gets the job done. I will use Helen for all of my future real estate needs.

  • My husband and I were living in Maryland when we decided to move to Charleston, and Helen Butler was referred to us by one of our friends. We weren’t sure about what neighborhood we wanted to live in but we definitely knew the type of house we wanted. Helen was very thorough and toured us around many different neighborhoods and found many homes we might like. Unfortunately, the inventory was limited at that time so we decided to build a house. Helen found us the perfect lot and we are currently in the process of building our dream house. She even helped us find our builder. I would highly recommend Helen – her follow up is amazing and our experience was wonderful when oftentimes the home buying and selling process can be very stressful. We owe that to Helen!

  • Jim and I appreciated all of Helen's time and efforts in helping us find our lovely property on Daniel Island. We absolutely love it - the layout of the lot, the location and the stunning view it will one day afford for our family. Helen did a great job in narrowing down our wants and needs as well as putting in the necessary preparation to show us properties on our limited schedule that would best fit what we were looking for. I must say, her positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile in working through all the nuances of the due diligence required helped us successfully navigate that process. I honestly believe we would not have ended up with the perfect property had it not been for Helen!

  • We could not have been happier with Helen's management of our listing. She is a consummate professional who combines an attention for detail with enormous care and commitment. Always available when we needed her and personally present for every showing, she brought us great peace of mind knowing that the sale of our home was in the right hands. Her counsel was invaluable and the process from listing to final sale was seamless and effortless. She's the best!

  • Our family recently had the opportunity to work with Helen on the sale of our parents' home. Throughout the process, Helen combined professionalism and experience with a caring and patient attitude - exactly what was needed during a sensitive time for our family. The marketing of our property was beautifully done. Helen worked tirelessly in assisting us to prepare our property to list. Once the property was listed, we appreciated the frequent updates and watchful eye she kept on the property, as our family was based out of town. Her attention to detail and problem solving did not go unnoticed. We could not be more grateful for all her hard work and assistance and would recommend her services without hesitation!
